St. Patrick's Church

St. Patrick's church in, Cedar Rapids, IA contacted us to help with the PA system and provide a live streaming suite. They had been experiencing a lot of complaints that parishioners could not hear the services. Along with the PA upgrade, they wanted to add choir mics, ambient mics to give the live stream an authentic and natural acoustic presence, monitors for the choir, and a few other features. Paradigm installed 4 speakers that provided even coverage from the front row to the last row. There were 2 areas of control; the altar and the choir loft. Pitting the mixer in the choir loft with a stage box at the altar provided all the necessary inputs and outputs at each location. Ease of use was also important. Using a rack mounted mixer with an iPad interface gave the choir director remote access to the system so he could make quick and simple adjustments. We also installed power relays so both the rack in the choir loft and altar could be powered up with 1 key switch. For video streaming, we supplimented their existing camera with 30x PTZ camera. We provided a live production switcher where we imbedded a stereo audio mix. Services sound better than ever and those who were unable to attend live services can now worship online.
